Wrong about what? I quoted you correctly, for which you’ve already retracted your accusation that I didn’t. And I reported correctly that the word “appeal” was not in the article when I read it. The only point you’re proving is that you’re a whiny jackass demanding that someone admit he is wrong when he has made no error.
This guy has every right to sue her in civil court, to press criminal charges for assault and battery, and any other legal remedy he’s entitled to. That, however, is not what he’s doing. He’s taking this incident, which didn’t occur on school property or have any relation to her job as an instructor or his status as a student, and filing a formal complaint with her employer. Basically, he’s going after her job, and he’s doing it for something completely unrelated to her job. I don’t blame her for wishing she’d kicked him in the balls, frankly.
No you didn’t, and no I didn’t, and I don’t believe you, in that order.
Daniel
Excuse me yet again, Daniel, but your snide analysis notwithstanding…it appears I did such a good job of trying to be less partisan and fair in my post that danceswithcats didn’t even realize I was supporting his/her view.
Holy shit. You mean you lump parking tickets together with child support? I hadn’t realized just how far extreme left you really are. Fucking hell, you go on and on about squeezing all the money you can out of people, often citing children in need of the programs it provides, and here you’re willing to wink at the son-of-a-bitch who spawned them and won’t pay a dime. It’s sewer rats like you that gave liberalism a bad name.
Well, you’re a liar then. I will expect an apology for your insult.
I’m sorry you self-righteous sonofabitch, but where has anyone said anybody was made better for it? I don’t know that anyone has condoned the behavior of this one person(political party notwithstanding).
Speaking of unrelated shite, your post smacks of it. All I was trying to do was to unrelate some shit in the original several posts about her being A- a Democrat and B- a teacher from the same school.
Sam
You may call me all the names you wish, but no matter how clearly I try to lay it out for you, you ignore the evidence i offer. Namecalling !=argument. No apology from me is called for.
Daniel
It appears that LHoD is having a bad day.
Bending over backwards to be fair:
If you believe I am a liar, Lib, please lay out a specific case with direct quotes. I believe you are mistaken, because you’re letting your anger blind you, and i believe you’re behaving like a monumental sphincter. But I am willing to be proved wrong.
Make your case, with direct quotes in which you believe I have misstated anything in this thread.
Daniel
Yep–getting my heels nipped by the barking mad is never fun.
Daniel
Lib, are you suggesting that unpaid child support is reason to rescind the right to vote?
No. I am suggesting that it is reason to grab a bastard and either make him pay or put him in jail. I don’t give a damn how inconvenient it is for him or what it causes him to lose out on. The child did not request the orgasm, but is now entitled to the support. Period.
No.
But if they’re gonna check qualifications, then they need to check across the board, rather than just in the precincts where people are overwhelmingly likely to vote for the other guy; and they need to do it in such a way that (a) the burden of proving one is legit isn’t unreasonably complicated, and (b) it doesn’t cause excessive delays for those not challenged.
A few years back, my father-in-law received an official letter from the state of Florida, where he resides, demanding back child support from him. Seems he had the same first and last name, and middle initial, as someone who was deeply in arrears. It turned out that there were enough differences between the two (different race, several inches’ difference in height, etc.) that it was a relatively simple matter for FIL’s lawyer to straighten it out. But it took several weeks to take care of it, simple though it was.
In an election, you don’t have several weeks; you may not even have several hours. And in balancing out the risks, it seems to me at least as important to ensure that those legally entitled to vote get that opportunity, as to prevent those who aren’t entitled from voting. And it is much more important to ensure that those entitled to vote can do so, than to cause the electoral system to grind to a halt in certain precincts due to largely unsupported allegations of persons voting illegitimately.
Word.
Well, I don’t know about the others but you came after me, bub. Remember…when you jumped in from out of the blue to my exchange with danceswithcats and insulted me? Nip people and they’ll bark back. Capish?
Well, of course - you and she are the same person!
Yeah, I know, who’s gonna get that reference anymore?
Looks like SA is having a bad day, you patronizing sonofabitch.
Daniel
If this person were an instructor at my school, I’d want her employer to know just what type of person they’ve hired, too.
For what it’s worth, my husband thinks he is being an ass by doing so. I, on the other hand, hope he gets her fired.
