I need volunteers to take a short survey that I will be using for my masters thesis research.
Any college student qualifies, and it will only take you, initially, 5 minutes. In return for your time, you’ll learn your learning style in about a week or so. If you meet certain requirements, you’ll be asked to take a 30 minute test, probably sometime next week.
All information will, of course, be kept completely confidential.
If you can help me out, you will win my undying gratitude. And of course, that’s always good.
I understand if you don’t want to give your address and phone number. Feel free to leave those fields blank, or, if it won’t let you, just make something up. I DO need a real email address, to contact you with. You’ll only ever recieve, at most, 3 emails from me. Probably just 1.
(Thanks to TubaDiva and Ed for letting me post this. You’ve earned a mention on my acknowledgements page!)
I was going to make some suggestions about the readability of the test, but I realized that that might be part of the point. Contact me if you are interested. I’m the email that ends in hmc.edu
Nah, I know the readability sucks. This was taken from another person in my work group…I should have done better with it, but…I didn’t. I know, I’m a bad researcher
As a Psych Prof. I thought I’d check in. I can not get past the first page this morning 2/13. Make sure all your cards are in a row here. Is there a verification page/signature page? Who is hosting the survey and how are they independantly verifying the submitted data? I have seen online surveys from students before and I have rejected some of their findings as well (based on unverifiable data sets). Make sure all is in order with your verifications and hosting. If this is to be submitted in a defendable thesis make sure you follow all the rules to the T.
Done! Oddly enough I just did a survey like this one for someone doing research at my school on how students in different departments study best. Go social work!
Will take as soon as I finish this post. I’ll direct fizzy to it if I remember. Since I tutor at a college, I think this link might be of some use to our tutoring program and I’ll talk to a supervisor or two about having tutors (and the students we tutor) take this test. That’d be okay, right?
