So I’m working on my Master’s Degree in Systems Engineering, and the last class is a design project. The amount of work is comparable to a thesis. One of the early steps is a requirements analysis, which is where you all are welcome to make your mark on academic history. I need to survey potential users of my innovative system and make sure that I understand what the users actually need, so that I do not end up designing (say) a buggy-whip or a screen door for a submarine.
Want to help? Great! I’ve posted the survey here. If you’re 18 years old or younger, please don’t take the survey. If you’ve run across the survey somewhere else, don’t worry about filling it out twice. I’ve cross-posted to several message boards to maximize my response volume.
Sounds like a good product to develop - remember us when you’re a billionaire (of course, that won’t mean so much when the dollar is worth next to nothing but hey!)
Thanks for the responses, everyone! I’m getting a much better response than I expected, so I’m going to have great data to back up my requirements analysis. I’ll probably have a more detailed survey for those of you who checked “I’d be happier if I could explain my answers in detail,” but I need to digest the current results first and see what info I’m still missing.
Also, I want to commend the brave ones among you for taunting the survey.
I wondered about that as well - especially since I take my phone with me when I’m shopping, so that Mrs Piper can call me if she thinks of anything else we need - which happens now and then.
