Yep. Looks right.

Nice (used “Nice” as the color, and edited)

“Navy”? “Olive”? I couldn’t find a list of color values the board recognizes, so I had to experiment. Some of these look identical to other colors. Anyone?

And then of course, is the minor nuttiness where you can use any arbitrary word as a color, and it will be interpreted.

My name is green

This color is boring and this color is delightful.
My name is {COLOR=“gotpasswords”]green

This color is {COLOR=“boring”]boring and this color is {COLOR=“delightful”]delightful.

Works in IE but not Firefox.

Any browser will recognize hex values for colors, like 12ABC3 (which lets you exactly match any color you want, if you can get the value for it). IE and some older versions of Mozilla will, if given something they don’t recognize as a color name, try to interpret it as a hex value, with A-F meaning the hex digits, and anything else considered zero.

…Or maybe not. That should be a light tealish color, but it isn’t showing up for me after all.

You had an extra 3 in there.

Ah, I couldn’t get the color dropdown to work in my browser (older Netscape) but I see it in IE. Thanks.

. So for example FFFF00 should give me yellow? (Preview: it does!)

dark magenta

sorta orange

sorta cyan

dark red

cool!

Old thread: Fun with Colors.

Test post from my new phone. It’s my first really web friendly one.

[ETA: Yep. Worked great]
