I can’t imagine that any good can come out of this. Comcast also now owns Hulu as well. Of course, it will be awhile before the deal completely goes through.

I’m mostly worried about what will happen to the Vice President of East Coast Television and Microwave Oven Programming.

No, they don’t. They own 30% of its shares, with the rest split between Fox and Disney.

That aside, this deal is concerning. However, Comcast’s COO did say that “We love Hulu and have no intent to crush it like a bug.” Reassuring, but actions speak louder than words, so we’ll see.

Jack Donaghy will be fine. Don’t forget that he managed to rise from mailroom peon to the top in just two days. If anybody’s taking over his job though, it’ll be Kenneth.

The following was spoken silently, “But if it happens, well, who are we to stand in the way of progress.”

It’ll be interesting to see how they work the company, especially if they plan to sell the O&O stations in markets like Chicago and San Francisco where the cable systems are largely all Comcast.

It could serve as a model for the TV industry to change from being affilate oriented and OTA (over the air) to just another cable network.

Hmmm

Comcast already owns the similar fancast.com. If they wanted to get rid of Hulu, why would they start a website that does the exact same thing?
