I can’t imagine that any good can come out of this. Comcast also now owns Hulu as well. Of course, it will be awhile before the deal completely goes through.

No, they don’t. They own 30% of its shares, with the rest split between Fox and Disney.
That aside, this deal is concerning. However, Comcast’s COO did say that “We love Hulu and have no intent to crush it like a bug.” Reassuring, but actions speak louder than words, so we’ll see.

It’ll be interesting to see how they work the company, especially if they plan to sell the O&O stations in markets like Chicago and San Francisco where the cable systems are largely all Comcast.
It could serve as a model for the TV industry to change from being affilate oriented and OTA (over the air) to just another cable network.
