Comic book movies you'd make...

I was finally able to see this. It WAS bad, but in a cheesy 70’s action show way.

The storyline that’s been in development for years has centered around Death. Gaiman’s involved, but it keeps getting back burnered (just like the Good Omens movie that Gilliam is supposedly directing).

I think that Resurrection Man would make a great movie. The series was fairly short (27 issues), so there’d be a good chance of getting most of it into, say, two or three movies. The character’s abilities, which change to protect him from what killed him last, could provide some decent comic relief as well as moments of total bad-assedness.

Especially the issue where Hitman was a guest brought in to kill RM repeatedly in order to get a particular power back.
“Butterflies…”

I’d love to see the DC CRISIS ON INFINITE EARTHS storyline. I have no idea how many movies you’d need to make to fit it all in, though.

I’d like to see a G.I. Joe live action series. Big ensemble, everyone a specialist in their field. And John Malcovich as Cobra Commander. Well, that’s the first name that came to mind anyway.

Goddamn it, why doesn’t somebody make a movie that really focuses on Mr. Mxyzptlk? Probably because it would suck.

The Fabulous Furry Freak Brothers: the Movie. Possibly the world isn’t ready for that.

How about a WWII story involving all the Golden Age folks: the Americommando, Starman, Robotman, Hourman, Johnny Thunder, the Atom – all those second-tier guys?

Thor

Lady Death

Bad Kitty

Vampirella

Yeah, that was pretty classic.

“Here he is. Shot, drowned, stabbed, hung, you name it. At $300,000 a pop, this guy is gonna cost you.”

But they couldn’t bring Hitman in for just a bit in the movies, unless they made him a sidekick. Not likely.

Not to mention that Vandal Savage is a great movie villain. And the Body Doubles would go over very well.

I was thinking about this, and I guess the title would lend itself more to a television series than a movie. It’d have to careful not to melt into a sappy teeny-bopper show though.

If I had to pick a plot for a movie, I’d write up a story with the Hellions, or maybe their storyline from “Fall of the Mutants”, where doug is killed. (With less of Birdboy, though)

For the love of God, NO! There is no way anyone could ever get it right. I don’t WANT to hear Morpheus’s voice!

But being a masochist, I’d go see it anyway…

And about League of Extraordinary Gentlemen, assuming you ARE serious and DON’t know: http://us.imdb.com/Title?0311429

No. I mean a real adaptation of the story, with Fu Manchu and cavorite and the Schadenfreud Academy and Moriarty.

This thing looks like it was designed by the same folks who destroyed “The Shadow.”

American agent Tom Sawyer? Get real.
