Comic strips you love (or at least tolerate)

Tom the Dancing Bug

Luann is a guilty pleasure.

I cycle through gocomics and comics.com every morning. The usual stops include:

9 Chickweed Lane
Doonesbury
The “K” Chronicles
Tank McNamara
Zits
Brewster Rockit
Frazz
Get Fuzzy
Pearls Before Swine

Then semi-weekly I check:

Dork Tower
PS 238

I love Frazz, and agree that it’s as good as Bloom County and Calvin and Hobbes. I have no idea why it’s not more popular than it is–except maybe that it’s too smart. I like to think so, anyway.

Other favorites that I read every day are Luann, Rose is Rose (I like Peekaboo the cat) and FBOFW.

Web comics I read regularly: Two Lumps and Order of the Stick.

I like *Dilbert *but have fallen out of the habit of reading it. I also like Sally Forth, but same thing.

Am I the first one to mention Pooch Cafe? It’s great.

9 Chickweed Lane
Bob the Squirrel
Clear Blue Water
FBOFW
Foxtrot
Get Fuzzy

As a youngling, I was a fan of both Garfield and Cathy and I continue to read them out of habit even though they no longer entertain me.

As far as webcomics, I read Red Meat from The Onion’s AV Club and I recently discovered Goats, which is some of the funniest stuff I have read in a long time.
“What are we going to do with a goat? Dunno. Maybe we can glue him to the ceiling.”

Mutts
Pickles
Rose is Rose
Zits
For Better or Worse

Pearls Before Swine
Mutts
Red and Rover
Get Fuzzy
Sylvia
(although she gets on my nerves every so often for some odd reason)
Rose is Rose
Sherman’s Lagoon
FBOFW
(because I’ve been reading it too long now to give it up, no matter how much it’s jumped the shark)

CNN is reporting that Tom Batiuk had surgery for prostate cancer in January. (Link)

Explains his motivation for reviving the storyline, at least. :dubious:

Two nobody’s mentioned that I like:

  1. Candorville

  2. On the Fastrack

I read FBorFW religiously. I don’t think it’s particularly great or anything, but it’s still part of my morning routine. I wake, lay in bed for a bit, check my e-mail (generic for checking e-mail, myspace, and blogs…I need to get a life), check FBorFW, and check the Dope.

When I’m at my parents house and reading the comics in print, I enjoy Zits and Foxtrot quite a bit.
