Every time Disney does another Broadway show, from Lion King to Mary Poppins, I think, “Oh, my god, what an awful idea.” And every time, I’m reaching for the Kleenex before the end of Act I. I hate the *idea *of Disney on Broadway, but I’m a puppet in their hands when it comes to the actual experience. I’m sure this one will be no different.
You keep using that word. I do not think it means what you think it means.
A new film version would be outrageous. But a play based on the book/movie could be great. Spam-A-Lot was a great new take on Monty Python’s Holy Grail. I’ve heard good things about Matilda. I hopefully will get to see it eventually.
I wonder when audition are. I would have fun storming the stage!
