From time to time I’ll see commercials telling me to call some 1-800 number to get inside information about foreclosed and repossessed homes and cars. I’m assuming they’re scams. Is this a valid assumption?
If so, where is a legitimate source for information about foreclosed and repossessed homes and cars?
Usually the commercials try to sell you on expensive seminars, books and videos about how to find information about foreclosed homes. (Answer: Buy our seminars, books and videos about how to find information about foreclosed homes!)
Seriously, though, it’s all a matter of public record. Your local courthouse or county office will have records of foreclosure proceedings in that community.
