So I’ve got a solid idea for an Android App. However, I don’t have the ability to write and code it myself. The idea itself is relatively simple in the sense that it’s not a game and doesn’t require any fancy graphics (but the UI would need to look nice). Without explaining it in detail, it’s more like tool for managing something which includes calendar and timer functions. I have the functionality of the app spec’d out, including a list of variables, etc., so it’s not just a vague idea.
My questions:
What’s the best way for me to get connected with a developer with the skills. Craigslist?
If I find someone to create it for me, how do I keep my idea from getting ripped off as I’m explaining it to the potential partner/coder. An NDA?
Is it better to offer to split the sales of the app or just try to buy the creation outright? How much would you expect a job like this to cost?
Any other advice for someone like me? I know there are probably a million idea-guys out there, and in today’s software world it’s all about the people with the skills to actually create it and make it happen.
Thanks.
