I think that’s what makes it even funnier.
Not scary and not funny. A complete non-episode, much like I was talking about here:

kind of agree. It never really got going for me. A few good gags but overall not that good.
Odd that some didn’t like it. I think that was my favorite episode.
Just loved it.
I loved it!
More great moments:
Troy facing the zombies in his “Ripley” suit, only to be overcome immediately. “I don’t know why I thought this would work!”
Jeff, as he is being overrun by zombies and dragged to the floor, is more concerned about the fact that the zombie in the banana suit is wearing Jeff’s $6,000 suit jacket. “You’ll stretch it! You’ll streeetch it!”
I finally caught the episode on hulu and I thought it was the best episode this season. I loved everything about this episode, from the George Takei intro to the character interactions between Shirley and Chang to Troy being the first black man to almost make it to the end.
Britta always has the best costumes ever. I wanted the squirrel costume she had last year, but I find myself wanting a dinosaur costume more than anything else at the moment. Jeff feeding Britta was remarkably sweet as well.
I’ll never think of ABBA without associating it with rabies now.
What? No 27th post in this thread yet? For shame, you people.
Great episode.
Same here. My second favorite after the paintball episode last season.
I just noticed. Dr. Banana, or Rich (I think that’s his name) says that he didn’t tell them that he got bit because he thought he was special. That’s a call back to the pottery episode where Jeff once thought that he was special, but was disabused of the notion after finding out that he sucks at pottery. I guess rabies would’ve been Rich’s downfall the same way pottery was Jeff’s if only everybody didn’t get “roofied.”
Oh yes, and Donald Glover topless is hot.
Normally not a huge fan of themed sitcom episodes (halloween, christmas, etc) but this was pretty great.
“Is someone throwing that cat!?”
Community is already the example dialogue on that tvtropes page.
I don’t know why Abba isn’t the soundtrack for every zombie movie.
As I said on Facebook, if my life is ever going to get into a zombie scenario, I want it to be like this. Except maybe without Rich around. That dude is just too smarmy.
I instantly knew who Shirley was costumed as, and while I can see the Miss Piggy resemblance, it wouldn’t have been my first guess.
A nice touch on how her reactions sounded just like Miss Piggy as well, even down to the surprise kiss in the bathroom.
Her voice is a little like Miss Piggy as well.
Did Chang have anything about him to indicate that he was specifically the ice-skater he was supposed to be?
If he’d asked me, I would have guessed Tonya Harding.
In which case you may have gotten proven racist by the racist-prover.
As a matter of fact, he got the color of her dress wrong. In Fleming’s big moment at the 1968 Olympics, her dress was chartreuse.
But Tonya Harding’s blond, right? I could have sworn he was wearing a black or very dark brown wig.
Actually, he probably wouldn’t be racist cause he guessed a white girl, not an Asian one.
Zombie-Annie! My, what big fists you have - IN YOUR FACE!
