What? No Community thread yet?
I loved it.
Note to the Dean: When people with very large guns show up and ask if you’re the only witness, you say “No.”

It was streets undead! I wish my name was Kevin!
ETA: And Chang and Shirley totally did it!
I loved the nod to Re-Animator (“Is someone throwing that cat?”)
Yes!
Too bad neither one will remember. They just have Troy’s voice mail.
I’m going to have to watch it again just to count all the shout-outs.
And yeah, Chang and Shirley knocked boots for sure.
I love ABBA.
I’m just glad Dean Pelton survived so he can add The Human Caterpillar to his Netflix queue.
“I hate you less now! That’s how much I hated you before!”
I missed that reference, but I haven’t seen Re-Animator in about 10 years.
Another great ep. Community is asserting itself as my favorite sitcom, the Simpsons and 30 Rock are becoming a distant second.
Minor spoilers below.
I was moderately impressed with how they established why everyone was turning into zombies but how it was easily resolved. everything had to be returned to normal at the end, and making it an easily remedied case of rabies allowed that but also allowed it to be funny and of course, give them a chance to poke fun at the genres.
“You’re not special! I’m special! I was bit ten minutes ago, and I’m stiiiiillllll ffffffffffiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiinnnnnnnnnnnnneeeeeeeeeeeeeeee”
“Community” is in the saddle again! And I loved the use of the Abba music. This is the first time that the lyrics of “Fernando” made any sense to me.
Maus beat you to it.
Merged duplicate threads.
Zombie Jeff leaning against a bookcase and checking his Blackberry?
I loved it. It reminded me of the “Modern Warfare” episode (the paintball game episode) in its craziness.
I think was not just that, but entire concept of the Spring-Loaded Cat. It’s a common horror film trope.
Loved the Empire Strikes Back shout-out:
Troy: “I love you.”
Abed: “I know.”
Definitely a fine episode.
Sorry, acsenray, I usually wait for your thread.
Hey - Starburns has a name!
Man, other than the Kevin line, and the six thousand dollar suit, I didn’t really like the whole episode. I wasn’t laughing.
My SO looooooooved it. But he loves ABBA and zombies, so make of that what you will.
No prob. Actually, I don’t recall that last time I started one of these threads!
I thought we knew Starburns’s real name was Alex a long time ago.
I just loved that the dean, who purports to care so much about his students and treating them like real human beings, was too cheap to get real food for the party and instead bought a bunch of MREs from an Army surplus store.
Well, MREs and trays of an unknown substance (that looked like taco meat) clearly marked as a biohazard.
