I felt like an idiot for a while. I was trying to figure out why evil Abed was trying to cut off Jeff’s arm until it dawned on me that Jeff in the dark timeline has one arm. And yeah, I think Abed mentioned that to Britta but he was talking so fast I think I missed it.
And I thought that Evil Abed’s plan was to get his study group into the good timeline to undo the damage caused in the dark one. How would making the good timeline into a copy of the dark timeline accomplish this?
Loved all three episodes, but especially the video game one. Somewhere, someone has to be working on turning that into a real game. They just HAVE to. TROY AND ABED BREATHING FIRE!
Fake Dean was listed as Faux-by (Faux Moby) in the credits, lol
I like how Troy was so annoyed by how weird the AC school was. “NO! TAKE HIM TO THE POLICE!”
A lot of the levels looked vaguely familiar to me. One of them was definitely from the Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom NES game. Another might have been a Metroid level? Any others cribbed from real games?
The dungeon struck me as very Super Mario-esque, though of course it wasn’t from the actual game. And the outdoor progression area (where they went to the “Lazy Valley” and “Gay Island” was quite obviously patterned after Super Mario World.
I don’t get this. It’s a scripted show, not “watching someone” play video games. The game sequences were loaded with jokes and forwarded the plot and theme. This would be like complaining that you already work all day so you don’t want to watch The Office.
Well I don’t watch The Office. But that’s unrelated. I just found it tedious to watch the video game activity. It was easier to just listen to the dialog. That’s just my opinion, I’m not passing judgement on the episode.
Those I’ve heard of, but don’t actually know. The others mentioned, some of which may be spinoffs and sequels to the aforementioned I imagine, I’ve not heard of at all.
