Company Dinner & Dance - Japan

It’s not exactly a costume ball, but it gets close enough some days. :stuck_out_tongue:

I need ideas. The Yukata thing is a bit hackneyed, but I’ll do it if I have to… I already have the materials to make a pair of cat ears, so those are going on. =^^=

Oh, and this cat has boy bits, in case it wasn’t clear before.

Wait, company Dungeons & Dragons? what?

Yeah, I’m with MrDibble; until you mentioned the cat ears, I thought your office was LARPing 4th edition or something. Are you looking for costume ideas? If so, we’ll need more info on what you actually look like.

ETA: I would totally work for a company that held D&D LARPs during work hours. Middle management are the GMs. Profit sharing is based on your level and XP pool; annual bonuses given for staying in character.

Dammit! Dinner and Dance!

I’m going to have to get a mod to change the title on this one. :o

Oh, and here’s a (sort of) recent pic of me.

As you wish.

Nice pic.

Well, I knew that a company D & D was a dinner and dance. But then, nobody’s ever accused me of being a geek.

What are these levels y’all are always mentioning? What’s a LARP?

The dinner and dance thing can be great, if the hot chick in the other department shows up unescorted. On the other hand, it’s not cool to get smashed and hit on your boss’s wife.

Another thing: If you’re really drunk and the Big Boss[sup]TM[/sup] tells you to sell more credit life insurance, don’t tell him that if he wants more sold, to sell it himself. (This I know from experience)

Other than that, have fun at the company dinner and dance.

So wait, it’s a Japan-themed dinner & dance with costumes?

Together with five or six others, all of you style your hair straight black and semi-short. Wear black suits and pants (better if they don’t fit well), white shirts, blue ties, black shoes with white socks and glasses with chunky black frames. Hang cameras around your necks. Shuffle around together as one big group for everything. Never smile. This could make the dancing rather entertaining to watch.

Bonus: have one person dress as a tour guide, complete with flag, to lead you all around.

Pretty much!

I was thinking of getting a Japanese School Uniform, but I wonder if they’ll do them in adult sizes.

Men’s costumes are surprisingly hard.
