Recently J.D. Power and Associates sent me an email asking me to fill out an online survey about a credit card I carry. Normally I have no objection to such marketing requests and sometimes I even comply, but I am very busy these days so I have just ignored this one. They say it will take about 15 minutes and that’s more than I want to give. Furthermore, I don’t feel one way or another about this credit card, so it’s not like I’m burning up with opinions on the product. The card does what it does, and that’s that – no big whoop.
JDP&A, however, won’t stop. I’ve gotten at least two e-reminders.
Am I being foolish to ignore this thing? Might there be some benefit from filling out the survey? They don’t promise one in the email, but I’ve be rewarded for surveys before, and JDP&A is no little mom and pop operation. I mean, they are the survey company name that gets dropped whenever a product wants to brag on TV.
(And btw, the emails appear totally legit, so I doubt it’s a phishing scam. They use my full name and everything is spelled right. If you think or know it IS a scam, though, please post those comments too. Thanks.)
Thanks all, in advance.
