Computer Fonts

I am trying to find a computer font which will produce a symbol of an EYE when the right letter is typed. Can anyone help?

While we’re on the subject, what is the use of all these fonts with odd symbols and such…who reads them and why?

Here’s a free one, located at the bottom of the page in the CU Symbol set:
http://www.dingbatpages.com/general/general.html

Another (not free, though):
http://www.myfonts.com/fonts/dingbatcave/anns-eye-eye-mate/anns-eye-eye-mate/charmap.html

They are called “dingbats” and are just decorative little pictures, symbols, designs you use in programs such as Word or Paint.

If you’re using Windows then the letter “N” in the font “Webdings” will produce an eye symbol like this:
N

Keep in mind, though, that if you use a tricky font, and the reader’s computer doesn’t have that font, she’ll see your message as it would appear in some default font. For example, if I posted in Old Bookman, some people would see it in MS sans serif.
