I’ve typed up my English paper on Corel Word Perfect 8, and it won’t save on the hard drive, so I’m trying to save it on a disk, but I’m a computer klutz and i’m about ready to fall over from lack of sleep. so if anybody can help, i’ll owe ya.
What do you mean it won’t save on your hard drive? Is it full? what kind of error are you getting?
I am not familiar with WP, but I guess it works like MS Word. Saving to a floppy just means that you have to change the directory you want to save in to the A: drive.
This is the procedure:
- file/save as (i guess, not sure where you can find the save-as function in WP)
- top left bar gives the directory you’re in. change it to a:
type in the file name and save it.
If the hard disk is full you might want to clear up some temporary files. the quickest way is to delete your temporary internet files. Follow this procedure:
go to start/settings/control panel
click on internet options
click on the tab general
it has three secrions, the second being the temporary internet files. click on the delete button
go to your desktop
right click on your recycle bin
click on empty recycle bin
this should give you some extra disk space. Enough to save your file anyway.
You might want to consider removing some programs and/or files to make some extra harddisk space. Otherwise, consider buying an extra harddisk.
