Gateway has a program (and I’m sure others do, too) where you can trade in your old computer equipment. Basically, you sell it to a recycler (they use DealTree) and it looks like you get credit with Gateway.
I ran my dead-display laptop through their estimator and it looks like I could get back some $200 on it, which might make it worth considering buying a new laptop.
Has anyone here used this service? Does it work well, or are there gotchas I should be aware of?
