Computing has become too overwhelming (updates)

Thanks Nava. I used to have a little icon on my taskbar that said “EN” and I could click on that to change to Japanese. Why would windows want to take that away from me. Wait a minute, I know why, because they are hellspawn incarnate and bent on killing the souls of humanity.

I’ll keep tooling around until I find out how to get it back.

Well, just turn off your PC, when you have your lunch or finished working with it and the updates are installed automaticly.

You can also turn them off or change the settings to not install automaticly.

I just leave my PC on 24/7. Updates are downloaded automatically.

Isamu, I think you’re referring to the Language Bar, which is a selectable toolbar in Windows 7.

Okay, grandma.

Anyone who complains about bug fixes with the implication that they’re required because programmers are just lazy and stupid is blindingly fucking ignorant about programming.

Ah. Well, thank you for the explanation, but I’m afraid this multitude of updates (30! yesterday) still leaves a bad taste in my mouth. I was thinking of getting a netbook with linux installed, but I think I’ll go with windows instead.
