Concerts: floor tickets or side of stage tix?

I’m going to see The Eagles in May. I got tickets as an anniversary gift to my husband. Found out today that he also got me tickets as a birthday present. So now we have 2 sets of tickets and I somewhat of a dilemma: which are better seats?

The coliseum will be set up in the endstage format. In front of the stage there are three equal sections: 1, 2 and 3, with 2 being in the center. I have tickets for Row D in Section 3 (4th row, stage right, near the center aisle). I got them on e-bay for what I thought was a very fair price.

Hubby’s tickets are in Section 128, which is to the left side and front of the stage, row E (5th rows). They don’t have a center view, but they are elevated.

So which are better tickets? I know your gut reaction is that floor is better, but I had a miserable experience last year when I went to the Sting concert. We had the 15th row floor, which sounds great, but I couldn’t see a THING except the people’s heads in front of me! I was thinking 4th row would be okay since it’s close to the elevated stage but now I’m not so sure.

Anyone ever sat in the 4th row and was it a problem to see? I’d hate to spend a lot of money and then not even get to see the band.

So what would you do? 4th row stage right floor or 5th row side stage left, elevated?

Thx for your input.

I had 3rd row center seats for Styx a few years ago and they were great. We were close enough to the stage that the people in front of us were not an issue. Best seats I’ve ever had at a concert.

If this is the US Bank Arena in OH, I just looked at the seating chart. I would go with Floor seats. The sound will be much better in the center then way up on the side. The other seats arn’t bad either, but I think the floor will be better, otherwise you’ll have a side view the whole time. On the other hand since the side seats are really not all that bad, you could sell you tickets to a front row ticket broker service in your area. I assume that they sold out and you could probably get a decent amount of money since they are probably selling seats similar to yours for $500-$1000 per pair.
