Confession time :

  1. I’ve been hit by lightning. Twice.
  2. I’ve had sex on the Space Shuttle.
  3. I studied physics in college, and graduated with honors.

Okay… spot the lie.

Well, nobody would get near the Shuttle without a good science background, with a lot of physics.

But anybody who graduates from college with honors, majoring in physics, is a nerd/geek.

And nerd/geeks never get any.

So, insofar as it is far more likely that one could be struct by lightning twice, than it is for a nerd/geek to have sex, I’d say #2 is the lie.

It’s number 2.

The Master speaks.

Of course you’ll probably just tell us the shuttle was on the ground at the time… :stuck_out_tongue:

I think it’s number 3. If you were really that smart, you wouldn’t have been hit by lightning at all.

Yep! I’ve only taken a few courses in college, and they were all art-related.

I really have been hit by lightning, twice now… all while doing outside stuff. Hiking, the first time, kayaking the seconds. I’m obviously not too bright, since apparently I can’t seem to remember to go inside during storms. :smack:

The Space Shuttle… okay, I didn’t say which Shuttle. It was the mockup they used for astronaut training, way back when. This was before it was put on display at JSC. My mom worked there for most of her adult life, and as a geek kid, I became fairly well-known around there 'cause, during the summer, I’d often go to work with her, and I’d go around and get to see all sort of stuff. Well, one time I took my girlfriend there, and this was when the trainer wasn’t actively being used.

I was being a smart aleck (can’t use a**, I’m in a library) . I really thought number one was the lie. Oh well, I’m still right.
