I am thrilled. I will be working as an RN on an intensive care telemetry unit. Great benefits, 15 minutes from home, and almost the same wage as the job I just left only one dollar less on the hour.
I start next Tuesday. The timing gives this whole thing a sort of back-to-school feel. I’ll make sure to wear my new shoes and underwear and sharpen my pencils.
I’m still in a legal hassle with my former employer, but, it will pass. Screw them, they can’t hurt me any more.

I’ve applied for our local community college’s RN program (which is supposed to be one of the best 2 year programs in the state) and I’m really excited about starting. Would you mind if I emailed you and asked you some nursing type questions?

Thanks everybody:) I appreciate all your encouragement. I was beginning to wonder if I was going to be able to work at all. I am probably more excited than I should be but, I was at my last job 16 years. A fresh start is always good.
