The reason why I put brackets around “Republicans” is because the Trumpcentric meme I was referring to sure wouldn’t include that R word.

In pretty much every war, soldiers begin using slurs to ‘name’ the enemy. They do that as a way to dehumanize them – to make them seem less than human. And they do THAT so it’s easier to pull the trigger.
That’s the harm that comes from the intolerant rhetoric that we see so much of. Growing up LGBTQ in an environment with so much corrosiveness and toxicity directed toward you has to be exceptionally difficult.

It’s funny that they say, “This is the only language the left understands.“ Because the only people who use that language is the right. You don’t have folks on the left speaking in violent rhetoric like the right does.
