Congresswoman Marjorie Taylor Greene MUST GO

No crowd pic? (MTG rally)

Neat, thx.
So, ten in that photo, five in the other one, above…close enough.
Variegation in signage is reassuring.

I would be so tempted to walk up to MTG and ask her “Which one are you?”

“Oh…Are you Ilhan?”

Oh, come on. She could hire some actors for the day and do better.

Why is her sign white?

I wonder how many of that throng are staffers.

That’s a throng?

If stuck in a small broken elevator it would be considered a throng.

That’s an amusing image.

Hey, it’s free advertising for billboardchris.com. I looked at his website, he’s the guy on the far right. Of the photo. He’s even wearing the exact same sign on his website as in this photo.

They have zero cred with me because they aren’t all carrying ‘assault rifles.’

Bam.

I think that one was from a different event.

It’s her own sign that’s been hanging at her office since her first term in Congress. My speculation is that this was a small roadtrip-to-DC type demonstration originally arranged by whatever transphobe club “Billboard Chris” is involved with (so their signs are in his style), and they called MTG to book her as guest star. So calling it a “rally” was empty puffery to begin with.

As did I. Somehow it did not mention this great outpouring of support.

Under Projects all that came up was a Page Does not Exist placeholder, and the latest entry in the News section was last June.

I’m pretty sure everyone there is on the far right…,

She’s becoming a bit more mainstream within the GOP.

(Possibly paywalled) Washington Post article:
From outside agitator to inside player: The remaking of Marjorie Taylor Greene

and ChatGPT 3.5 summary:

The main point of the article is that Marjorie Taylor Greene, who has been known as an incendiary critic of Republican leadership and a far-right rabble-rouser, has undergone a slow transformation to become a slightly-less-incendiary Republican team player and is now aligning herself with party leadership in an effort to gain political relevancy. This is demonstrated by her support of House GOP leader Kevin McCarthy’s policy agenda and her backing of him as House speaker.

Turns out that the rally was actually ‘major players’ in the anti-trans movement, such as they are, and at least 5 other people attended. Or they were staffers.

Marjorie Taylor Greene held an anti-trans rally at the Capitol & almost no one came - LGBTQ Nation:

Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA) held an anti-trans rally at the Capitol this week. A whopping 12 or so people attended and no major media outlets covered it.

The rally was a veritable who’s who of contemporary transphobic trolls, including members of the book-banning “parents’ rights” group Moms for Liberty; members of the anti-LGBTQ conservative think tank Heritage Foundation; de-transitioned young adult right-wing media darling Chloe Cole; J.K. Rowling fanboy Chris Elston; conspiracy theorist James Lindsay; sexually harassing “comedian” Alex Stein; and of course, Greene herself.

Or at an unexpected party at Bag End.

“We had witnessed 9/11, right?” said Greene in the interview. “We had witnessed 9/11. The terrorist attack in New York, and the plane that crashed in Pennsylvania, and the so-called plane that crashed into the Pentagon. It’s odd there’s never any evidence shown for a plane in the Pentagon.”

‘Never any evidence shown for a plane in the Pentagon’? To which I would reply:
