Congresswoman Marjorie Taylor Greene MUST GO

What the hell is McCarthy thinking, putting MTG on any committee that doesn’t mainly involve punch and cookies? Yes, I know he’s trying to push his far-right agenda, for which she’s a cheerleader…but if you’re putting together your equivalent of SEAL Team 6, you don’t recruit Barney Fife. Just, no. Surely there are Republinazis who are more intelligent (not a high bar to hurdle), more savvy to the political process, and less proof to foot-in-mouth disease.

If I gave McCarthy any credit for strategic thinking, I might speculate that he believes giving her a bigger brighter spotlight increases the likelihood that she will self-destruct in a spectacular fashion, thereby solving the problem. Alternatively, she wises up and shapes up and becomes a productive foot soldier for him. Either outcome, he wins.

Sure, it’s also possible she stays weird and stupid and yet somehow survives as a persistently irritating gadfly. I never said McCarthy was actually smart.

Look, we don’t all have time to watch a video, can’t you just tell us who won?

The wall. The aircraft was completely – completely – disintegrated.

OK, I should know better than to probe into MTG’s so-called mind, but what possible facet of the rightwing wacko agenda is advanced by the idea that it wasn’t a plane that destroyed a large portion of the Pentagon?

(Especially since she seems to accept that there were actual planes involved in NYC and Pennsylvania.)

If that’s verbatim, she hasn’t conceded the presence of planes at WTC, just that it was a terrorist attack. She certainly has a history of being a full-on 9/11 conspiracy theorist.

The Pentagon was hit with a missile or missiles that were fired by the U.S. government for… um, reasons. Democrats are bad, m’kay? BTW: Barack Obama 'had a big part in 9/11.’ (Sorry, Riemann; but it’s only 13 seconds.)

You know I was joking, right? (Anyway, I was all in on the wall.)

Hmm, good point.

But … but … but … a Republican was president on 9/11.

Good lord.

Then why did I? :man_facepalming:

That proves Democrats are bad, and that Obama was derelict in his duty!

Wait! I got it!

Clinton and Gore were so pissed off about Bush stealing the 2000 election that they – through Hillary’s underground cabal – launched those missiles that destroyed the WTC and the Pentagon. (The plane in Pennsylvania was nothing but a decoy to make us think the other attacks were planes, too.) They thought the disaster would make Bush look so bad that the miltary would overthrow him and award the White House to Gore. Meanwhile, Obama (under his cover as a mere Illinois state senator) was working behind the scenes with his fellow Muslims to set Al-Qaeda up as the fall guys.

I think its mostly knee jerk reaction to undo everything that Democrats do. Since the Democrats stripped her of her committee assignments for making wild conspiracy claims and supporting the execution of Democrats, in order to own the libs, McCarthy has to give her plum seats.

Or he made a backroom deal for her vote.

Considering the Rep Greene was one of the Speaker’s strongest supporters among the freedom caucus, that seems very likely.

Marjoria Sartor Viridis delenda est!

Modnote: Please keep posts in English or provide an accurate translation.

Modnote: “Marjorie Taylor Green must be destroyed” is really pushing what we allow here. That is pretty much calling for violence against her. Consider this a thread ban for you.

Sorry, I’ve been filling my head with Duolingo Latin lessons.

It’s simply a translation of the thread title.

The historical origins of the phrase indicate otherwise, not to mention the grammar.

PS. Try “dimittanda est” or “debet abire”.

People named Marjorie, they delete the green?
