Consecutive Team Losses When One Pitcher Starts

In the current issue of Sports Illustrated, they report that Milwaukee has lost the last 16 times that Chris Capuano has started. (He’s 0-10 in those games.)

I assume that if this were the all-time record, SI would have said. How close to the record is this?

The major league record for consecutive losses is held by Anthony Young with 27 games. However, that includes stints as a reliever and may include games where Young got no decision but the team still won.

It’s only been fairly recently that people have kept track of team wins by started even when the starter gets no decision, so I’m not sure if everything has been cataloged.
