"Conservapedia": The Right's answer to Wikipedia

It would be best if y’all did not lay plans over here for vandalization over there. Strikes me as being too close to a board war.

Please carry on with the mocking.

They didn’t have the same language as us, so they couldn’t express Christian concepts?

Cuz our make-believe supernatural entities are much more powerful than their make-believe supernatural entities.

Or a serial killer, whatever.

The random commentary is the best part.

And that one other major religion, what was it called again? Oh shoot… I think Schlafly obscurly mentions it somewhere else in his lectures…

Ok, that was stupid of me. In my excitement over his… lets say odd, views of world history I completely misread this as 600 B.C. I’ll slink away now and let others with better reading comprehension skills take their shots at him.

Naturally the one time I have ever needed to use the edit button the internet at work decides that it is going to take 8 minutes to load each page…

The quote is still stupid because he says history created the religions. That doesn’t even make sense. He has the concept of history confused with the past.

Check out “Insular”, “Motherhood Statement” and “Wilful Ignorance”.

Something’s wrong with those entries. They aren’t haltingly disjointed and awkwardly constructed.

I think it’s obvious that the author isn’t the beneficiary of “homeschooling” using the Schlafly method. Too bad, as I’m pretty sure that they will soon begin using a spelling/grammar checker, and that anything that passes will automatically be deleted as vandalism.

After reading this thread, a quote from this site scares me :

I don’t know that I’d be getting too worried on the basis of “facts” as reported by Mr Schafly

from detop’s post:

I wonder which one, Liberty or Bob Jones?

Where they are working hard to remedy the damage.

Exactly! - if English was good enough for Jesus, it should be good enough for the haughty ancient Egyptians.

But the truthiness of Constipedia should be evident from how it treats celebrites. Take the entry on the people’s champion of crusading journalism Stephen Colbert

You can see the typical liberal Wiki-bias. Substituting truth for silly opinions. Of course, a truly partiotic American repository of knowledge would never make that kind of error in its sacred pages, would it? :dubious:

:stuck_out_tongue: :stuck_out_tongue: :stuck_out_tongue:
From the Nobel Prize entry:

“The selection process has become political[Citation Needed], as the prize was not given to Ronald Reagan or Pope John Paul II, and has not been given to anyone who criticizes the theory of evolution.”

I love the “Citation Needed” note too. Absolutely classic. I can’t believe that the mere fact that Ronald Regan didn’t get one isn’t proof enough that it is political.

:stuck_out_tongue: :stuck_out_tongue: :stuck_out_tongue:

‘Citation Needed’ is Right-Speak for ‘Facts Need Inventing’.

As for the whole Nobel Prize and Evolution thing - I’m going to go out on a limb, not do a Google search at all, and guess there is no Nobel Prize for Idiocy.

I had to jump back in with this nugget

As far as I know even biblical literalists say that the earliest biblical writings were written by Moses, who lived around 1500 BCE… I’m sorry, 1500 BC. I’m curious as to how a story written 500 years earlier was inspired by the Bible.

Because in the future, the Temporal Evangelist arm of the Local Cluster Baptist Convention (Reformed) will have bought the light to the savages.

Obviously. :dubious:

I wanna play!

Some of the lowlights from the evolution page, anyone?

Gotta say that I, for one, welcome our new Sanitation, Penicillin, Vaccination, and Life Expectancy Of Over 30 Years Overlords… CMMV. Just-so stories? What does Kipling have to do with this, anyway…wait! The Mowgli connection! Now it all makes sense! We didn’t evolve from early apelike creatures… we were created and reared by wolves!!! Wait, that’s not right…

Zing! Take that, National Geopornographic! That’s what you get for showing those half-naked African ladies! Where’s John Ashcroft when you need him?

I don’t care if it’s just a typo, it still tickles my ribs!
