Yes, I would say that the support of Winston Churchill and some guy from Germany pretty much neutralizes the generalization that conservatives opposed eugenics.
The Catholic church apparently opposed eugenics. But they also oppose the death penalty and unfettered capitalism, which are hardly a conservative positions. Reverend Meade got nothing.

Conservatism isn’t a mental illness. It’s the result of believing an alternate set of facts that aren’t real.
Conservatives, specifically the Republican Base, are victims. People who have been lied to their whole lives and as a result simply are reasoning based on those lies.
Take Shodan, he’s not a bad person, and he certainly isn’t stupid. But because of the nonsense he thinks is real, he’s angry and full of bile and hates the people he erroneously thinks are behind all the problems of the country.
If you believed all the crazy things Shodan or Clothy thinks are true, you’d probably be a seething asshole too.
Remember, they’re victims. They’re the result of the RW stupidity media that’s been marching in lockstep for decades.
The Progressive Era was roughly from 1890 until about WWI or perhaps even the beginning of the Great Depression. At any rate, the Progressives who supported eugenics lived about a hundred years ago. Some of them were politically conservative. Some were Republicans. And some of them supported eugenics as a possible solution to the problems of poverty. I would think that there would be some “liberals” at that time that supported eugenics for that reason.
These days, when you hear someone suggesting that non-whites and unwed mothers with x number of children should be rendered sterile, you don’t hear it from Progressives or Liberals in general. To the contrary.
It seems very difficult for people to recall the assertion in question.
If I told you that conservatives hate chocolate chip cookies, and proceeded to list several liberals who.like chocolate chip cookies, would you conclude that my claim was supported?

Well, there were some who I guess you could call social conservatives who opposed eugenics.
William Jennings Bryan did and while he was certainly not viewed as a conservative by his peers(just the opposite), he could be called a social conservative.
Similarly Billy Sunday strongly opposed Eugenics as well.
However I’ve seen no evidence that conservatives, as opposed to evangelical Christians were more likely to object to Eugenics.
Anyway, I don’t think Tom Buchanan from The Great Gatsby was considered a progressive.
I think the victims ought to stop wallowing in their victimhood and blaming others for their shortcomings. Instead of sitting around being spoon-fed and letting others do their thinking for them, they should take responsibility for their own actions, pursue an education and make something of themselves. I certainly don’t want my money, which I worked hard to earn, being taken from me at gunpoint to support their freeloading lifestyle. Stupid conservatives.
Conservative ARE mentally ill…end of story.
I am an independent and basically apolitical for over 35 years. I was too busy as a single parent dodging man-made obstacles and surviving it. I never spoke of my beliefs and obviously wished to simply work and have a normal life. I already navigated throughout the complexities of profiling these types’ behaviors. There were variations in their beliefs: Christian, religious, anti-religion, fundamental, domestic abusers, verified mental illnesses, criminal backgrounds or crimes undocumented as they do not like government telling them they have broken a law, breaking federal and state labor laws, child abusers, slanderers, drama queens, liars, hypocritical, and I could go on and on.
Everything item on the original list of behaviors is exactly accurate. And, I speak from 35 years of experience as an unbiased person who initially did not connect the dots between the abuses and the politics. The irony is that they profess that one should stand on their own two feet. But, not ONE of the would have been able to survive what they dished out to me for even on month…let alone 35+ years! And, I survived without committing a crime, using drugs or alcohol, going into a depression, and failing to raise my children properly.
I also tested this theory. I literally faked becoming a conservative for about 2 years. It was amazing how many doors opened up employment-wise, obstacles immediately diminished, people treated me with human respect, and life was just easy. This angered me even more as I had never provoked ONE reason for a conservative to seek me out and bully me on the job, in the community, via my children, my children, my shopping experience, as a landlord, and as a moving company.
If they are crazy enough to seriously develop fear out of their delusional beliefs of the illuminati and new world order, then yes they are mentally ill…regardless if those are the beliefs of ALL conservatives or not. It doesn’t matter because their core pattern of behavior across the U.S. and among varying beliefs is still conservative. They can rename their title all they want, but they all exhibit the list you provided as behavioral traits. And, their responses on this thread is so telling of that as well. …even if they say they are not conservatives, their behavior indicates otherwise…they ARE mentally ill…period! And, they are growing into more of a domestic terrorist than a citizen or group who is a part of a free country with multiple beliefs sharing their different or opposing beliefs.
There is a difference between not being able to recite the Pledge of Allegiance because it states the name, “God,” and having your jobs, reputation, family, finances sabotaged beyond repair while still being kicked while you’re down. But, if they were not mentally ill, then they would see that their calculation of the score is not anywhere near even. That’s like murdering someone because they slapped you in the face. The behavior is over the top, dramatic, psychotic, and completely unequal. Or, it’s like a heavy weight and light weight fighting in a tournament. It’s unequal. But, like your list states…they don’t care or understand what equal means…so …they are mentally ill…hands down, mentally ill!

sorry, but I think they are not just stupid- they are mentally ill. mental illness has proven to affect intelligence.
also , profile a troll. you’ll find that they are conservatives as well. they’ve already researched and profiled trolls. their profile exhibits conservative traits. narcissist would be another example which of course is a personality disorder which also can be passed down genetically. they cannot handle constructive criticism or complex context/speech. their memory is too poor to maintain a lengthy discussion with related interwoven material and ironies. they attack constructive criticisms with immature, random, inaccurate comments which are usually violent. but, most importantly, they do not have the ability to empathize genuinely. they just know how to mimic it. a person has to be intelligent to empathize. and, an intelligent person has to be without a debilitating mental illness to function properly in an industrialized society…which is complex in itself. this is why you’ll find that they mock anything lengthy or complex. they cannot handle it outside of what they memorized via rote from a person or book. it takes critical thinking skills to recognize knowledge, recall knowledge, apply knowledge all at applicable moments so that what was stated can be rationalized and is in fact logical. conservatives cannot do this. it’s a studied fact. they simply use standby tactics like projection, lies, and invalid random insults. and, they are never wrong. they can’t handle it.
