FWIW, I’m not really “wholly endorsing a blanket deregulation to the protected land”. I suspect Bears Ears will be scaled back, not eliminated entirely, and I think that’s wholly appropriate. There are some locations in the area that should be protected, but it’s significantly less than 1.35 million acres.
Really? I’ve known or been acquainted with thousands of liberals across the country, and the overwhelming majority have been well-educated and generally open-minded (a term that I would never apply to you). My experience, which is wide-ranging, suggests to me that you are letting your bias color your perceptions.
Or maybe you just happened to draw all the Bernie Bros. But you’ve clearly displayed your lack of acceptance of anything that doesn’t match your beliefs, so I’m not surprised that you meet educated guesses with derision.
If Obama had succeeded with Bin Laden six months into his Presidency I might give GWB some or most of the credit. But almost 3 years in I would assume that the direct contribution of the previous President was negligible.
I’m going to make a suggestion and I hope you take it. Stop posting with such disdain that you feel the need to take shots at other posters. Nothing productive can be gained this way.
More specifically to the above post, dial it back. Do not personalize your arguments in this fashion. If you feel you must, the BBQ Pit is right around the corner.
He won the election. The Republicans sold their souls to get a putative Republican in office and they were crossing their fingers that Trump would deliver a conservative Supreme Court nominee. They got what they bargained for.
Lets not forget that the odds were that McConnell’s gambit would fall flat on its face. There was significant doubt that Trump was really as nucking futz as he seemed to be on the campaign trail. I am now convinced that any NYC Republican that enters national politics goes insane.
