Fellow Trump voters: How do you think the Donald is doing so far.

First off, this is a genuine effort to gauge how Trump supporters here view his performance now that’s he’s been in office for almost two months, so if you’re not a Trump supporter, please don’t respond.

As you probably guessed, I am a Trump supporter (as well as a proud, conservative Republican), and wanted to see how my fellow Trumpists view his overall performance so far.

Personally, I’m satisfied with his performance, because so far, Trump has:
*Repealed an Obama-era coal stream rule that would have resulted in the loss of jobs for tens of thousands of coal workers, in addition to the thousands already out of work
*Signed an executive order reinstating the Mexico City Policy, which bans the funding of international health organizations that perform or promote the abortions of unborn children
*Nominated the excellent Neil Gorsuch, a solid conservative jurist who will uphold the Constitution’s original meaning as written, to replace the late, great Antonin Scalia.
*Presided over record-breaking stock market rallies, which have been coined the “Trump rallies”.
*Given the ICE free reign to crack down on illegal aliens, particularly the criminal ones. Specifically, he unleashed them and gave them more power to apprehend aliens who were given a free pass simply because they hadn’t committed any violent crimes yet. The results are showing. In mid-February, the ICE rounded up 700 illegal aliens alone, 75 percent of whom had criminal records (they’re not all warm and fuzzy, as the Left would have us believe).
*coordinating the investing of billions of dollars into the United States with companies such as General Motors, Softbank Lockheed, etc. which will create tens of thousands of jobs.
*Repealed a ridiculous last-day rule passed by the Obama administration which banned wildlife hunters from using lead bullets, despite the fact that it would cause thousands to stop hunting because of the high price of non-lead ammo, and the fact that scientific studies don’t show any real long-term harm to wildlife from using them when hunting.

I was personally an enthusiastic supporter of his, knowing he’d be much better than Hillary, and agreeing with his economic message.

So guys and gals, what’s your view on how our guy is doing?

Overall, he’s doing terrible.

Until of course the waterways near coal miners become polluted, then it won’t be so great for the coal miners or their families. I’m sure they’ll think of some reason other than pollution to explain why their water is contaminated.

There’s no evidence to suggest that Trump is causing the rising markets unless we’re going to subscribe to correlations equals causation. They can be coined that all they like; however, it is very unlikely that Trump has had time to have that much of an effect on an overall scale. He has managed to wreck a few individual stocks here and there will foolish tweets. E.g., pharmaceuticals.

What were you hoping Trump would do that he didn’t or hope he wouldn’t do that he did, when you voted for him?

Oh sorry I should have specified I’m not a Trump supporter. I’m not even American so I didn’t vote for him. I was mainly responding to refute the last point with respect to lead bullets.

Well, those things that you mentioned don’t prove long-term harm to wildlife, just potential harm, which doesn’t justify banning lead which would have put a lot of hunters out of the game due to high prices of non-lead ammunition. I respect your beliefs, however I also respectfully made clear that I wanted the views of Trump voters only.

He will surround himself with supporters, and outcast and try to diminish by any means any who don’t support his views.

He needs to be contained, either literally or by congress to ‘build a wall around him’ and neuter him.

On this board, when you post something that is incorrect or likely incorrect you can expect it to be questioned or fought. Do you think the effects described in those papers will simply go away? Also, if you kill wildlife from lead poisoning the effect is a long-term as it can get for that particular animal.

Do you have any evidence or proof that hunters would be out of the game due to high prices of non-lead ammunition? If so how many, either in absolute numbers or a percentage?

Of course, what I posted about how the expensiveness of non-lead ammunition would lead to less hunters, I was not “incorrect.”

Since you asked for some evidence, I’ll provide you the following two:
1.) http://www.npr.org/2017/02/20/514290612/lead-ammunition-poisons-wildlife-but-too-expensive-to-change-hunters-say
2.)http://nssf.org/share/PDF/CA-Alternative-Ammo-Impacts_9-15-2014.pdf

The second link I provided, an in-depth and detailed survey, shows that the state of California by 2019 will phase-out the use of lead bullets completely when hunting, and estimates that a whopping 36 percent would reduce their participation, or stop hunting altogether.

We have a few conservatives and lifelong republicans around, a few. Not sure if we have any actual Trump voters, no more than a couple at least.

There is more than just potential harm.

What is important to note is that Trump and minions are, just like with the issue of global warming, are even not getting the memos from the top groups they are getting support from. In this case even the NRA did drop the blatant anti science only for it to show up as still being in the right wing echo chamber.

What specific metrics are you using to measure the level of success or failure with regards to his economic policies?

Hunting wouldn’t be so expensive if these shootists had better aim.

Obviously, he’s only been in office for a little under two months, but I’m encouraged by the plural record-breaking stock highs we’ve had since Trump was in office, the over 235,000 jobs created in February, and the droppings of illegal crossing at the Southern Border by over 40%, which will save more money for the taxpayers. There’s also the companies that have agreed to invest billions here, some partly as a result of talks with Trump.

Time will tell, but I’m very encouraged.

Some hunters don’t really even want to hit anything.

That’s the expensive part.
Does the nonlead requirement also apply to range use or only while actively hunting?

So you would measure an effective Presidency by looking at the increase in the DJIA and the amount of jobs created during the term(s) of office?

Yes I would, but I would also keep in mind to look at the correlation-causation evidence, and there is plenty here

I think that’s reasonable and I too am very curious to see how those numbers will continue to play out during this administration.

That’s fair I guess. I just wonder if you were similarly encouraged by the 150% increase of the DJIA and the creation of 11 million jobs during the last Presidency?

You should know by now that all good Republicans consider those bogus numbers.

How long before Trump takes credit for the 11 million jobs?
