Conservatives on immigration are the most vicious people on earth

I was watching an anti illegal video from a conservative youtuber

It was standard in it’s contempt and hatred of illegals, and glee over seeing them get deported and uprooted. Then I went and read the comments. Oceans of agreement and worse when it comes to their attitudes towards illegals.

I understand the need to deport people, but the glee and self righteousness, and open contempt for people being uprooted as if they deserve every rotten consequence because of their status physically repulses me.

I see these as incredibly vile people, and I wish ill upon them.

So well put – thank you. It astounds me how some people can toss their humanity and compassion out the window. I don’t know if it makes it better or worse to realize that many of them (not all, sadly), upon getting to know a recent immigrant personally (a new neighbor, say), would then say, “well, I didn’t mean him/her.”

Yes, ISIS members are pausing their cutting off the hands of bread theives and the heads of people who can’t correctly recite quotes from the Koran and saying “Damn, those American conservatives are vicious!”

We must banish hyperbole from this land! Hyperbole is the scourge of the earth! DEATH TO HYPERBOLE!

I’m not sure that “well, ISIS are worse” is a compelling argument in favor of those people.

But it is a rather compelling argument against “making a YouTube video is more vicious than cutting off someone’s head”.

I have told you a hundred million times - don’t exaggerate.

Shodan

Well, that was clearly a serious point that should be debated. Will you be taking the for or against?

Pot, meet kettle.

Yes, I will.

ISIS members should illegally immigrate to the US. Then we cut off their heads, post the video on YouTube, and then deport them. A win-win.

Shodan

That, or YouTube commenters are the most vicious people on earth.

But I’m sure you don’t wish ill upon them with glee, self-righteousness, and open contempt, right?

I am, however, shocked to find out that people can be ass-holes in the comments sections of youtube blurbs on the internet. I"ve never seen that before!!

Better, it’s a win-win*-win-win**

*: I assume ISIS enjoy having their heads cut off
**: I assume American conservatives were tired of coming in second-best to ISIS

But if you “understand the need to deport people,” only to then argue that the most vicious people on earth are those who are gleeful and self-righteous and contemptuous about it – well, then, aren’t people even worse if they’re gleeful and self-righteous and contemptuous in pursuit of stuff that shouldn’t be done?

Like, when you see somebody advocating for a goal that doesn’t prompt you to remark “Hey, I Understand The Need To Do That, But” – what do you say then?

Stop being so gleeful and self-righteous, Mr. Pepper!

Nope, just the stupidest. No hyperbole there, just the facts.

There is no need to do anything of the sort.

Or you could be the Trump supporter whose husband was deported – even though her husband was undocumented, she didn’t think they would deport “good” people.

Conservatives in general (at least the traditional ones) encourage immigration and support plans to legalize large numbers of “established” illegal immigrants.

Same as traditional liberals.

Conservatives anticipate more cheap labor, liberals smell votes.

This issue provides one of the few areas of bipartisanship that we have.

& bank robbers who give back the money & fill out a loan app instead shouldn’t go to jail either.

They did not rob a bank. That’s a dehumanizing characterization. What they did was make an unauthorized withdrawal.
