I watched the video, and honestly the clips reporting multiple shooters don’t even appear to come from the same decade as the Newtown coverage, let alone the same event. Just my observations.

I saw Anderson Cooper with Rosen and a survivor of Aurora, who has also been harassed. Cooper said that many of the parents who had it together during the interview were crying hard before, but felt they had to pull themselves together for the sake of their dead children. On camera behavior is not an indicator of off-camera behavior.

Everything is proof of the conspiracy. Especially things that actively disprove it.
Please, please, pretty please, let one of those “truther” pieces of trash who are harassing the poor guy get caught and convicted of a crime. What crime? How about harassment? Really, I just can’t see these Whacked-Out Nut-Job Conspiracy-Theorists (WONJCT) as all that bright so, maybe *69 just might be all the investigative acumen needed.
Understood the bolded part is parody, but there is a lot of truth to be parsed from it.
That said, this just bolsters my argument that there needs to be serious reform concerning the mentally ill. Giving them a bottle of pills and a pat on the head telling them “everything is going to be fine” as they walk them out of the office door just isn’t cutting it anymore…

It was a rhetorical question. My point being that it doesn’t make sense. Why would a conspiracy lead to confused reporting more so than an actual event would? These people don’t even have a nodding acquaintance with logic.
There have been polls about 9/11 and there have been polls whether Elvis is still alive but I don’t think there has been a poll for both.
Considering the type of personality traits and cognitive habits that tend to correlate with CT-acceptance in general, there’s probably quite a bit of overlap.
It’s sad, but there are a lot of nut bags out there who are willing to believe anything. There’s a friend of a friend on Facebook who was posting this crap, and was completely unwilling to see reason. I tried posting links to Snopes, and he deleted my posts.
A few days after the Sandy Hook shootings, he posted about the incident that happened the same day in China where a man stabbed several children and teachers outside their school. No one was killed; IIRC, the injuries were all pretty much superficial. He posted to some website that promoted the “facts” that he had done pretty much the same as the Sandy Hook shooter; he’d gotten into the school, killed several teachers and administrators and 20-some kids, all with a knife. When I proved he was wrong, he insisted it was all a cover-up and insisted he was right and that 20 kids had been knifed to death. It was all part of some conspiracy, but I don’t remember the purpose of said conspiracy.
He’s positive (and has PROOF!!1!1!!) Obama is going to institute martial law, put curfews in place, start rationing food, water and gasoline, and will take away all the guns. There’s also some weird thing he kept talking about where there will also be laws put in place where black people will have to be given preference in hiring (in all job fields, across the board), and white people will just be shit out of luck.
It’s like these gun people and CT people and the Rapture people want all this exciting (but terrible) stuff to happen. Anything, anything to distract themselves from their boring, sad little lives. And they’re just mentally ill enough that they can’t tell the difference between reality and their dreams of chaos.
