I’ve been here a few years and It just occurred to me that moderators do a pretty good job around here.
So thanks for caring guys, I know you screw up sometimes (like all those times you gave me warnings ) but in 6 years you haven’t managed to make me hate you*, and if that is not a compliment, then I have severe brain damage and have started spouting nonsense, in which case your timely assistance would be appreciated.
Hey Marley23, don’t forget to add this to the running tally! 2 in one month! Didn’t include “Mods” or “Moderators” in the thread title so you’ll probably want to bookmark it for future reference.
huh, didn’t mean to be a thread killer but I’ve got to say, I’d be perfectly willing to be an ATMB or BBQ Pit mod if the powers that be didn’t demand all your real life info to simply apply for the position. So while I appreciate the work they do, to a large degree, I think I mostly appreciate the mods willingness to suck it up and comply. I don’t think you could get away with that on most boards looking for free volunteers.
I don’t normally suck up to the Mods (except for the expensive beer and chocolate I send them annually), but I’ll get on board as saying I think this board is wonderfully moderated. I don’t always agree with the Mod’s decisions, but they work hard, and do a good job.
Also, as long as I’m here, I have a couple questions. My son (17) wants to post. I’m happy to get him a membership, but I’m wondering if I need to do anything special to alert the board administration that we’ll have two posters in the household. I would have e-mailed a moderator, but (despite having been here forever) I don’t really know how to do that or how to pick the appropriate victim.
Well, while I’m here I might as well heap some appreciation for Tuba. She’s an awesome admin who takes her responsibilities quite seriously and has always always been a fair moderator. She works hard to maintain the stability of this site. That’s cool.
