Yes, what little I have, I have not worked much with reading for others. My main task is teaching and healing emotionally as best I can, this is the area I concentrate my efforts to learn.
It is not necessary to have an NDE to find your spiritual nature, but it is the fastest way. I think John grew up in a spiritual family and I am not sure about James. Meditation is the most usual way to spirituality.

Don’t try, just sit down and enjoy. Judging, analyzing and such just gets in the way of learning. Relax, have fun with it, when you leave you will know whether or not you want to return. All spiritual information should be handled like physical information.

I have never made any claim, anywhere, of having psychic abilities worthy of testing. Nor have I ever indicated I would consider being tested. So saying you have a 95% accuracy at predicting the gender of unborn children, or can call 7 flips in a row (Which has about a 1% chance of blind-guessing, statistically) is not claiming to have any ability at all?
Then, at the same time, you claim your “powers” come and go, so sometimes you can do it accuratly, and sometimes not… So, to ask again, how is this any different than guessing?
