Virgina cop tases man for calmly following directions…or at least that what it looks like to me. The cop asks the guy to turn around and put his hands on the car, which he promptly does, at which point the cop shoots him in the back with the taser.
I can’t wait to hear/read the spin on this one.
Let me guess-Because cars can be used as deadly weapons, and the man was obviously reaching for his car…
That guy looked totally black to me.
What?
I’m surprised the cop didn’t pull his gun and kill the guy for not following orders — allowing his hands to fall off the car.
Aye, I expect it to be something like that. Or maybe the cop got scared because he couldn’t see the guy’s hands when he faced away from the cop and the guy could have been reaching for a gun…
“Turn around and put your hands on the car!”
“But you’ll shoot me in the back!?”
“No, I won’t.”
“PSYCH!!!”
Oh, I can make a pretty good guess, based on the article saying:
So he was a dangerous criminal…or something…and might have had a weapon…or something…and the officer was all by himself and feared for his life because the suspect…or something.
In place of ‘or something’ above, fill in whatever appropriate shit you want.
Because that is what it will be…and what we will probably get.
Yeah, the cop certainly wasn’t commanding him to get on the ground. Oh wait, we don’t what the cop was saying.
But lets assume the worst. Because it’s a cop, and a criminal. The criminal must be right.
The guy turned around and put his hands on the car. Why the holy fuck would he do that unless he was told to?
You clearly have no experience with criminals.
You clearly have no experience with rationality.
Please tell me this is an example of Poe’s Law.
I can clearly hear the cop yelling for him to get on the ground. What I don’t hear or see, is an order to turn around and put his hands on the car. Of course if the cop had no reason to pull his weapon, and use it, it’s fucked up. But a short video that doesn’t show everything is a rush to judgement.
The first thing we see on the video is the suspect leaning back, with his hand raised. We do not hear an order to put his hands on the car.
Now this one, it’s pretty fucking clear the cops are insane.
The suspect puts his hands up, then the suspect turns right around, leans over, and puts his hands on the car. Where’s the possible threatening move?
Not just racially harassed, he’s straight up the victim of an assault in the 2nd incident.
I know we posted about the shooting by an Oklahoma county volunteer sheriff when it took place, but now [Tulsa Sheriff Stanley Glanz has been indicted:
