Controversial encounters between law-enforcement and civilians - the omnibus thread

Honestly, I can believe that cops that crooked would have framed white people under similar circumstances.

The big difference is that I doubt that the cop would have come out guns a-blazing against white suspects.

The Oklahoma City cop who was accused of multiple instances of sexually assaulting disadvantaged (and usually minority) women has been found guilty and will likely get a very long prison sentence.

I wonder how common this is, and how many other cops are preying upon disadvantaged women.

Holy shit.

Also saw this from that article: “A yearlong investigation by the Associated Press published last month discovered over 1,000 police officers nationwide who lost their badges in the past six years for offenses including rape, sexual assault, and possession of child pornography. Since reliable comprehensive numbers do not exist, the actual number of officers fired during that period could be even higher.” Given the ratio I’ve seen in this thread of officers who perform criminal acts to officers who are fired for those acts, it’s pretty clear that this sort of thing is an epidemic.

Those pictures of him crying like a little bitch are pretty telling. He is probably not going to have a good time of it in prison.

Maybe Smapti can be a pen pal and tell him how the cop haters are to blame.

Yes, because it’s completely OK for people to commit sexual assaults as long as the person they’re raping deserves it, right?

From the article, this number does not include any stats from California or New York, and states that did provide stats…were undercounting…

I was not thinking about him being sexually assaulted in prison. I was thinking of him being beaten within an inch of his life.

If I am not mistaken, it is common practice in prisons for police officers convicted of crimes to separated from the general population.

Well, saying that violent assault and attempted murder is OK if the guy being lynched deserves it is clearly much better.

To be fair, he wasn’t advocating / promoting the idea. He was just saying that it was a distinct possibility.

Who said it was okay?

my alterations

I predict he will never serve a day in the penitentiary.

Why’s that? Is it common for jury recommendations to be completely set aside, even when they add up to over 200 years?

Are you not aware that your entire raison d’etre is arguing that the people the police killed, murdered, assaulted, and raped deserved it. Are you just now noticing the problems with that argument now that the protagonist/antagonist are switched?

That constant aching feeling you’ve had in your head the past 40 years is probably cognitive dissonance.

Why, it’s almost as if there were a difference between law enforcement and mob justice or something.

Also, please cite when I ever said someone deserved to be raped.

This is basically what you have been advocating this whole thread so for you to try to ascribe this to other posters and shame them for it is laughable. How many times in this thread have you stated that the criminals deserved the beating or shooting they got because they did not obey a lawful police instruction? It is clearly so much better in those cases because they deserved it, right?

Asshole.

It’s almost as if there was a *difference *between law enforcement and out of control cops or something.

So rape is where you draw the line? You’re fine if a policeman murders an unarmed child, but hold the fuck up if he rapes someone?

One of the points that you miss over and over is that when cops plant evidence to frame someone or when cops ‘get their stories straight’ they are engaging in the same sort of ‘mob’ behavior that you are now decrying.
