I understand that once a police officer feels fear, duty and protocol require that he empty his magazine into the center of the mass of the [del]innocent citizen[/del] suspected perp. But what if the perp had his ho or child with him, and the ho or brat also makes the cop afraid? Or, heaven forbid, another car shows up with a busted tail-light, and also needs shooting?
Do cops carry extra magazines within easy reach in case protocol requires them to kill several innocent citizens in quick succession?
Oh man. What if a policeman ordered another policeman to comply and one wound up shooting the other in the face repeatedly ? That would make the Steophans and the Smaptis of the world explode, wouldn’t it ? Who to blindly support AAAAH splat
Yep, because regular citizens are always carrying guns with them (2nd Amendment right) and shooting nearby people on the street who have their cellphones (or toy trucks) in their hands. Ya know–it’s self-defense–those things could possibly be guns–they’re practically indistinguishable.
Because that’s what some of these cops are doing in their own “self defense”. Must be that the media doesn’t report all these cases of citizens defending themselves.
Man, there’s incompetence and there’s incompetence and then there’s this. Assaulting the wrong house, no weapons in the house - one hurt cop, one hurt citizen and a dead dog. Christ on a crutch, this is TSA levels of fucking useless.
I was stationed in the Air Force with a guy whose father was a New York state trooper, and he said that his father always carried an unregistered gun with the serial number filed off, so he could drop it near the victim if he ever shot an unarmed person. This guy was shocked that some of thought it was wrong.
There is no reason for them to make stuff up. Take for instance the 8 police officers who fired 107 shots at two innocent women delivering newspapers. Police were searching for an ex-police officer that had sworn to kill police and when they saw the woman’s blue Toyota Tacoma, they immediately though it was the cops grey Nissan Titan pickup truck and opened fire. No charges were filed against the police officers. Not twenty minutes later, other police rammed a black Honda ridge line with a white guy inside (the ex-officer was black) and then fired several shots at it. No charges.
Cops can do whatever they want in the country without consequence. If a citizen acted on their fears like the police do, they would end up in jail.
But when we respond with fear to the police–like by either hesitating or moving too quickly when they order us around–then we deserve whatever serious injury or death sentence we get.
It’s like we are supposed to treat the police like they’re wild animals instead of civil servants. Don’t look them in the eye, don’t make sudden movements, and don’t ask for clarification to their instructions. Or you will be shot, and Rudy Guilliani out there will be saying you were a criminal thug who got what he deserved.
The average citizen has a lot more reason to be afraid of the police than the other way around. But if we confess to having this very reasonable fear , we risk getting BLUE LIVES MATTER shouted at us.
Or get changed with resisting arrest. I am amazed all the people who get charged with resisting arrest for no reason whatsoever. Its like the fall-back, catch all charge for today’s police.
I agree. But there are people like **Smapti **and Steophan who think the current state of justice in this country is just fine and its all because of people being uppity.
BLM has a point. I was reading about the Chicago Torture Cases and the reparations that Chicago is paying to its victims (you can read about themhere) and refelecting on what short shrift African Americans have gotten in this country. All of those African American men that were tortured are still alive; they are my father’s age. Yet to many in this country the age of lynchings is over and BLM are a bunch of thugs. They just can’t see that black people have been lynched, persecuted, tortured, incarcerated, mistreated, ostracized, and shit upon by the various governments of the US for years. They don’t believe that BLM has a case and that blue lives matter and all lives matter not recognizing that black lives have not mattered for generations. These guys need to read some history books or even a newspaper.
I’ve seen too many videos of cops arresting a totally compliant suspect, all the while shouting “Stop resisting! Stop resisting!” as if to establish justification for any brutality they may be accused of. That shit is why some communities have such a poor relationship with the police.
Read: The officers were panicky cowards, could not differentiate the sounds of newspapers hitting pavement from gunshots, could not differentiate a Nissan from a Toyota and could not tell grey from blue and are not able to read a license plate. Almost every officer emptied their magazine’s 15 shot capacity without knowing who they were shooting at.
White guy blocks the driveway into Dr. Dre’s house in Malibu. Dr. Dre gets out of his car to confront the guy. They get into an argument, but the white guy moved his car. Dr. Dre pulls into his driveway, white guy pulls his car back to block the driveway again. More confrontation. Dr. Dre pulls out his phone to record the incident. White guy calls the cops claiming Dr. Dre pulled a gun on him. Five cops show up, handcuff Dr. Dre in his own house and pit him into a patrol car.
