Wow. That is an awful story. As badly written.
Racist white guy? Nothing presented points to racism. Guy could have been an equal opportunity asshole.
Does the writer know what citizen’s arrest means?
Lot’s of bias in that story.

…ya know, if you’ve been on the internet for a while you would know that sites like “addicting info” aren’t always the best of cites. But it takes less than a second to highlight and search for news stories on “Dr Dre” to find versions of the story that you might find more palatable. Regarding the citizens arrest:

Do you know what a citizens arrest is under California law?
You know, even if you’re inclined to believe that black people are being treated unfairly by police and arrested on bogus charges, the idea of Dr. Dre pulling a gun on someone really isn’t that far-fetched.
Huh. So Fuck Wit Dre Day is a real thing ?! I didn’t know that !
Wow. I hope investigators follow up. Maybe the national news ought to as well.
Aye; a lot of the public already “knows” that the cops are all on one side and it’s not ours. This could help break that into the open so we can start to deal with it (as well as dealing with the people involved int his one incident, if there is sufficient evidence to charge them with a crime).
Maybe you should read this, Smapti:
So the take home message is that cops are dirty and abusive even when they present as whistleblowers.
God bless America!
I don’t see what the problem is. Bland committed any number of crimes during the events that lead to her arrest - it was the officer’s discretion which to pursue legal charges on.
Wow.
Well, if jail staff are going to respond to the bipartisan (but more Democratic) call to reduce our prison population, they might as well start with the deadbeat dads.
(Apologies for the attempt at humor about this serious incident.)
An allegedly abusive cop who claims to be a whistleblower, who has no evidence to back up his allegations and who is contradicted by those to whom he supposedly made the claim - you take that at face value. A cop who was neither dirty nor abusive, whose testimony is backed up by mountains of evidence - you claim he is lying.
The take home message is that you will believe anything, providing it tells you what you already believe.
Regards,
Shodan
Or, the cop decided to escalate the situation and arrest her for being uppity (smoking a cigarette in her car, IIRC). Then he had to figure out a charge(s). This may or may not be the case here, since the “whistleblower” has his own issues that undermine his credibility.
Although, I know you would find a situation like a bogus arrest of a black person inconceivable.
That is an extraordinarily generous interpretation of the officer’s comments.
Remember, Smapti is pure Lawful Neutral. The LAW and the LAW ENFORCERS are always right and there are zero moral considerations and zero ambiguity. Whether the situation and the actors are good or evil doesn’t matter. The cops are always the good guys and the people they’re dealing with are always the bad guys.
Here’s some fun:
Cops mistake Krispy Kreme doughnut glaze for meth.
The obvious joke is that you would think cops could recognize doughnut glaze.
But maybe they did.
That’s what sticking out to me. Because since the flakes were sugar, that means the officers in question either lied flat out… or they had meth fingers themselves.
