Thankfully, pretty much zero judges and highly ranked public officials share this insane view. You are not able to speak rationally on this subject. Your opinions are nuts.
The idea that a “police state”, where the laws are written by a dictator for his own ideology or benefit, and a well-policed democracy, where the laws are ultimately written by the people or their chosen representatives - the situation in America - is absurd.
If the laws are wrong, get them changed. It is in your power to do so, provided enough people agree with you. Don’t criticise the police for doing the job they are employed to do - enforcing the law. And before people start saying “it’s not their job to harass black people”, it is only not their job to do that if there is no reasonable suspicion that they’ve committed a crime.
The Ferguson report includes instances of the police disparately treating black people poorly and harassing them without reasonable suspicion of criminal activity.
Holy fucketyfuck.
I’ve seen this claimed, but not actually supported. What I have seen is activity that probably should not be criminal, but is, and people being stopped, arrested, and punished for that on a regular basis. But that, as I’ve said, isn’t a problem with the police but with the laws.
It’s a problem with the police if certain laws are selectively enforced against black people, and it’s a problem with the police if they prioritize raising revenue through tickets and fines over protecting and serving the public.
Wow, the lengths people are going to here in defending Ferguson PD are astounding.
Anyway, as someone on another message board pointed out, this report demonstrates well what racism is about today.
Most black people nowadays don’t have to worry about the KKK burning a cross on their yard, or being told they have to sit at the back of the bus.
Rather racism these days more often comes in the form of a thousand little indignities meant to keep people “in their place,” and being denigrated when you deign to question said indignities.
The answer to the first is to also enforce the laws against non-black people, and the answer to the second is to properly fund police departments.
Letting people get away with crimes isn’t the answer.
Who is suggesting letting people get away with crimes? According to the Ferguson report, black people were routinely arrested, ticketed, or fined (usually for very minor offenses) when they didn’t actually commit any crime.
What a fucking mess! What is to be done? Fire the entire PD and hire new cops? Then, for that period of time, Ferguson has no cops. So, nope. Sort out the bad apples, or just sort out the very, very bad apples? (Still got bad apples.) Fire them or pension them off?
Dear Mr. Holder:
Would you be sure to have one of your guys stick his nose in, see what, if any, use the Ferguson cops made of that whole “civil forfeiture” thingy? K, tx, bye. e.
You know what they say, “ignorance is strength”.
Wut!?
While not precisely a controversial encounter with a constable, this story is pretty strange:
[quote=“[Counter Current News: Cop Shoots Wandering Pony]
(Betboo Bahis Sitesi - Giriş ve Kayıt Bilgileri)”]“I locked his stall door, and I always do a double check. The next morning I came back out before I had class in the morning, which is around 10, and he was gone,” Crista (Fitzgerald) explained. “We started knocking door-to-door. And the first house we came to he was laying in their yard,” she recounted. At first the family thought that (the pony) was taking a nap. But as they got closer to him, they saw that he had been shot multiple times. “When I called the officer he said that he had gotten out on the highway and gotten hit by a car and broke both of his back legs,” she added.
A spokesman for the Clackamas County Sheriff Office, Sgt. Nathan Thompson told local … news that the officer claimed that the horse “had broken legs.”
Sgt. Thompson also … claimed that the deputy called the Oregon Humane Society to ask about euthanizing the horse and they told him to just go ahead and shot it. But a spokeswoman for OHS said that this is not true; they never received a call from anyone at the Sheriff’s Department about the horse, and they would not have given them this advice if they had.
The body of the horse was sent to Oregon State University’s veterinary lab for an autopsy. They confirmed that there were no broken bones whatsoever in the horses legs, only in the jaw, which was shattered by one of the bullets from the deputy’s weapon.

No, that’s plenty controversial, **eschereal. I’ll bet a grape Nehi that the cop never faces charges of any kind, nor any disciplinary measures.
And now…

Video game? Movie? A TV show? Imagine playing Counterstrike with the volume turned up loud and having a cop bust in your door and shoot you. Or watching an action movie real loud and getting killed by a cop for it.
This is local to me. Madison PD had received several calls regarding this “Tony” character running in and out of traffic and assaulting someone prior to the LEO’s arrival. Officer arrived and suspect had gone into the apartment. LEO heard a disturbance so he entered, where he was supposedly assaulted and shot the suspect. Fun fact, Mr. Robinson was charged with armed robbery last year.
It seems probable at this point, despite the limited facts released, that the officer was assaulted and more specifically was struck in the head and knocked down. Looking at the initial facts, it certainly appears to be justifiable.
We will know more as more details are released, but for now it just sounds like another idiot decided to assault a police officer.
Does seem to be an awful lot of them. Like guys who are getting the tar whupped out of them for resisting, yet keep on resisting. Even when advised in no uncertain terms “STOP resisting!!” Real low value strategy, there.
And guys trying to grab the cop’s gun. Is that a somewhat recent development, doesn’t seem like I heard much about idiots trying to grab a cop’s gun before recently. Must be video games.
The thing that bothers me is that the officer LIED about why he shot the horse. Shoot my pet and then lie? Who does that? it’s someone’s PET, for fuck’s sake. A miniature horse like that is not a danger to anyone. And the officer then refused help from the vet, who offered to come over and help him with the horse.
I sure wish they’d let some sociopaths be cops. Oh, wait…
So can I get my garbage collectors thrown in jail when they wake me up before 7 am? WTF? Getting woken up by the garbage truck is just part of city life. Don’t like it? Move farther out, to where there’s no garbage service.
Never totally rule out Lupus.
