Yup, pretty sure it’s purgatory for the lot of 'em.

"While you were yet in your mother’s womb, My eyes saw even the embryo of you and all its parts were down in writing." - GOD.

I wish people would quit listening to men/churches/organized religion and start listening to God. The above is what God said and to Him life begins at conception.

Children are not accountable for their actions when they have not reached the age of understanding, which is, wait for it… 20. All the Israelites under that age DID NOT perish in the desert as their parents did, but entered into Canaan - the ‘Promised Land.’

I hope this helps those of you who’ve had to bury a child. I’ve been there and done that too and the rubbish you’ll hear from the mouths of men about the eternal destiny of ALL of God’s children is most often just that - rubbish!

Sorry for the rant, but this is a hot button for me too.

Love to you all , especially those who have had to bury their children, and may God give you peace. - Jesse.

P.S. The ‘Promised Land’ is figurative of Heaven and The Kingdom of God and is used as such throughout the Bible. (God was talking to King David i(of David and Goliath fame) in the above quote.)

The reason the ‘Age of reason’ is twenty is because the human brain does not mature 'til then - it’s still growing until age 23, but all our reasoning faculties are operational when we’re twenty. - Jess.

That’s where the notion of Limbo came from, and it was never Dogma and has been rejected.

Limbo was, from descriptions I got from my older relatives, a place of peace where those who hadn’t been baptised because they were stillborn or had died before baptism (note that since baptism doesn’t require a priest, often mothers or midwives would baptise a sickly baby). The idea was that the kids weren’t developed enough to be able to make the choice to accept God, so no Heaven, but at the same time they weren’t developed enough to reject God, so no Hell. So an intermediate place, but not Purgatory as that’s not a separate place, it’s a temporary stay in Hell (depending on who you ask, “to purify your sins” or “until you realize what an idiot you are and accept the Infinite Mercy”).

Since the notion of Limbo got officially rejected, the official stance now is that little babies and the stillborn go straight to Heaven.

G’morning!

**
Phrases like ‘Officially rejected’ or this or that ‘Creed’ are all man-made theories which have nothing whatsoever to do with God, ‘Who is the same today, yesterday, and forever.’ So, God gets a bad rap because people insist on listening to and following ‘The traditions of men,’ rather than listening to The Father, The Son, and The Holy Spirit.**

Jesus told us not to follow the ‘Traditions of men,’ so why is anyone listening to these people?

We are told to worship God and follow Jesus, not make up rules of our own that hold people hostage in guilt and fear. Guilt and fear translate into big business for certain religions and so-called Christianity is the worst culprit.

I despise lies delivered with self-appointed authority to the masses by men dressed up in red robes and kitchen curtains - or even your basis black. I despise anything that serves to separate God from His people.

If you want to know the TRUTH about anything, for the love of God (or the quest for truth), go to The Source! - Jesse.

[Moderator Note]rayray5884 is asking how to convert from non-practicing Catholic to Atheism, not if he should. If you wish to witness to him and others, please start a separate thread on that topic in the appropriate forum(Great Debates). Thank you[/Moderator Note]

So noted, Czarcasm.

I wasn’t responding to rayray in my last three posts, but rather to those who have suffered mentally and emotionally because they worried about what humans think and teach - during what is arguably the worst possible thing that can happen to a mother - the loss of a child. I understand rayray has made his decision and believe I indicated that previously. I wasn’t attempting to witness to him here. I apologize if it appears that way. - Jesse.
