What is a good program to convert PDF, DOC or palm files to AZW?
Calibre can convert to .mobi which should work for you.
Yeah, calibre works great. If you’re like me and like to add a lot of navigation entries, though, and not just “table of contents,” you need to create the .opf file manually.
Also, PDF files are oftentimes a bad source file, unfortunately…
ETA: Mobipocket Creator works well too.
Mobi2mobi is an excellent little program for conversion. It also allows you to edit metadata easily.
I have never had good luck converting PDF files to mobi using calibre. Kindle should read PDF files without conversion. However, the screen size tends to be too small to read most PDFs formatted for 8.5x11 paper documents easily.
Looks like calibre it is.
