Convervative news channels censoring Ron Paul

I give up. You beat me, republican party. The never ending deluge of filth has finally gotten to me, and disgusting acts like this don’t even get me worked up anymore. A hearty “get fucked” to Karl Rove for knowing we couldn’t possibly be pissed off at everything the party has done, and naturally this would get lost in the six year shitstorm of corruption and deception.

Sorry if this has been posted before, but I checked the first couple of pages and didn’t see it.

The story goes like this: after the first GOP debate, all polls showed Ron Paul (the libertarian) as being substantially ahead of the others. FOX and ABC news refuse to acknowledge this, pinning Romney and McCain as the big winners. Paul is excluded from online polls for “who won the debate?” and is only added after a huge furor from viewers. Link

All posts at ABC’s website talking about the censorship are deleted. Link.

Now, MySpace, which is owned by NewsCorp (FOX News) is suspending accounts of members who post support for Ron Paul on their webages. Link

There is someone with some serious money who does not want a president who truly cares about the constitution to be president. I’m going to donate some money to his campaign tonight just out of spite.

ABC is a conservative news channel?

How is CNN handling Ron Paul?

By “all polls,” you mean “online polls,” right?

Because one of those phrases carries substantially less weight than the other.

. So, I go to read this. And, as I’m scrolling down the page, in the middle of the story is this “ad”

That sure gave me confidence in what I was reading. :frowning:

Don’t rule it out.

Maybe our Google ads affect visitors similarly.

That would be an apt comparison if our Google ads were touting the content from the SDMB. But they’re not.

In any case, as Larry Mudd says, the OP’s “all polls” that show Ron Paul “substantially ahead of the others” seem to consist of an online MSNBC poll, an online CSPAN poll, and an online ABC poll. Very reliable indicators, those.

In other words, his popularity online is rising. Maybe not an indicator, but surely not bad news for him.

And in any case, ABC is suppressing this news and FOX is suppressing support for Paul.

I have no idea who Ron Paul is, but this one at least seems incorrect. The guy pastes exactly the same code in each time on the fails, very likely there’s some linking going on that Myspace doesn’t like - now if it blocked his account for a mention of the string ‘Ron Paul’ that would be entirely different…

edit - from the among the garbage comments on youtube: “narrowed it down to a link through MSNBC, which affects ALL polls not just the Ron Paul one”

Ron Paul? She is that big tall transvestite. Her big album was “Supermodel of the World.”

All you need to know about online polls is the name Rory Fitzpatrick.

The one Republican I’d consider voting for in this race. Frankly he doesn’t have a prayer.

Are you guys trying to say that on-line polls aren’t accurate? How can that be? Surely there must be some mechanism in place that prevents repeated votes from one source. Isn’t there? Surely there must be some protection against voters/spammers who attempt to influence the outcome of a particular poll. Isn’t there? Can no one be trusted? Especially Republicans? Or Democrats? Can we not even trust Ron Paul? Whoever the hell he is?

They shouldn’t censor a guy just because he dresses up as a hugely tall black woman.

That’s RuPaul, you idiots. Ron Paul is the guy who invented the Veg-O-Matic and the Pocket Fisherman.

So, everytime the Senate confirms one of his appointments he’ll give them an another Cabinet member absolutely free?

I’m pretty sure they’re the same person.

My guess is that a major problem with online polls is that they’re incrediably self-selecting. There’s no way to ensure a random sampling of opinions.

Do you mean RuPaul and Ron Popiel, or RuPaul and Ron Paul? Are you sure it’s not Jean-Pierre Rampal?
