Baked or raw?
Once baked, crispy or chewy?
Baked. Chewy.
Raw is good. Baked to the edge of crispness, but soft inside.
Raw sugar cookie dough is amazing. I like the dough better than the baked sugar cookies. I know it has raw eggs in it but I eat it anyway. My second choice would be almond extract cookie dough, but I also really like the baked almond-flavoured cookies (and the Dopers I’ve shared these cookies with seem to like them too. 
)
I like all cookie dough raw.
Some baked cookies I like chewy like peanut butter and chocolate chip. Some I like crispy like sugar cookies and ginger snaps. What I do not like very much right now, is YOU…for making me crave cookie dough when there is none around and no ingredients to make any. 
Always keep a pack of the instant kind around for emergencies.
You might be more mad at me if you did have the ingredients to make them…

Baked, crispy. I have never eaten raw dough and I don’t really understand the appeal.
They’re different cravings for me. Mostly, raw dough will do it, but if they’re baked, I like soft cookies.
My go-to “want cookie dough” is an eggless answer, and I just mix together a dollop of melted butter, dollop of sugar, titch of molasses, either vanilla or almond extract depending on mood, add flour a little at a time until desired consistency. Since I don’t always have chocolate chips, but do always have some dark chocolate in bar form, either smash up some of the bar and add, or just break off a couple squares and use as a spatula.

Yay! My son just walked in the room and announced he was making cookies! I didn’t think we had all the ingredients, but we do. Well, we don’t have chocolate chips, but he decided to just put cocoa powder in and make chocolate cookies w/o chips. I’m so happy!
