I’m trying to fix and clean up my home PC so I can access the internet at home. When I try to clean out the old cookies and temporary internet files, all I get are extra copies of the crap I am trying to remove! I’m running Windows 98, which is kinda screwed up by some sort of corruption, and in order to reinstall it I need to toss all the unnecessary junk from the HD, but it won’t let me! Any ideas on what is wrong, and how I can fix it?
It is I, Threadkiller (isn’t there a Doper by that name?), bumping my own seemingly useless thread, for no apparent reason. I’ll go now.
You need to reformat your hard drive first, and then reinstall Windows, sounds to me. It’s the best way to start from scratch, IMO.

It’s the time to wipe the HDD clean. Just don’t forget to backup important data first.
