Cooking question: How much is a "bunch" of spinach?

I know, I know. It’s people like me who want exact measurements that take the skill and art out of cooking, but I figure it is worth asking.

I have a recipe for spinach soup that requires a “bunch” of spaghetti. Everything else in the recipe is in exact ingrediants. Does anyone know about how much a bunch is? Is it like a handful?

A bunch of spinach would be all the leaves held together by the stems with a rubberband. The stem bundle would be about 2 inches in diameter. When it’s loose in a bag, I would estimate you would want about a 6 inch ball of leaves.

Fresh spinach is often sold in bunches, like these. That’s about how much a bunch is.

Wait – are you asking about a bunch of spinach or a bunch of spaghetti? If the latter, then I have no idea.

Let’s let the folks in the kitchen over at Cafe Society try this one. Moved.

Spinach. I have no idea why I wrote spaghetti.

WAG How many (persons) are in the bunch that will eat the spinach?
Spaghetti is ‘mesured’ with a plastic or ceramic thingy with labels as to how much to prepare for a given number of gastric victims.
