I dig maps. Sometimes I play around on Mapquest looking at places I’ve been, remembering the layout of a town, what was where and stuff.
So I aimed for Coronado, California recalling a few visits there. I zoom in on the Hotel Del Coronado, and then click on the aerial photo tab and WOW! You can see the red roof of the hotel!
But that’s not all. If you look on the beach just a bit north-west of the hotel, you can see where some people stomped the word “CORONADO” in the beach sand.
Pretty cool, I must say. Makes me wonder if people knew there was going to be pictures taken that day.
