Unless I’m missing something, for anyone who couldn’t watch the video, it’s a male gymnast doing a bunch of flips, but some at the beginning are outside.
It is, as it always has been and shall always be, limited to Jim Thorpe on the men’s side and Babe Didrickson Zaharias on the women’s side.
Evander Holyfield is one helluva specimen of perfectus bodius. Every time I see him I just want to go up and touch him.
Looks like the guy has a career as a Hollywood stuntman lined up for him. In fact, looking at his website, I see he’s filming a movie with Jackie Chan. It was pretty impressive, a combination of gymnastics and martial arts.
I’m a hick, and as such, consider racin’ a sport. Now that that’s out of the way, as far as “coolest athlete” goes (not taking into account athletic skill and whatnot), I have to go with Tony Stewart (NASCAR’s champ from last year), because he’s dating Britney Spears.
Close second goes posthumously to Wilt the Stilt; he must’ve been doing something right (as far as cool is concerned) if he tagged that much trim.

His kicking stuff is kinda neat, though.
That is certainly cool. What always amazed me, though, were the suspended ring guys. That is a sport that requires strength, finesse, speed, agility, and endurance…the five elements that round out the perfect athlete.
I’d actually call it an art more than a sport.

Some of his GYMKATA (sorry, can’t ever refuse an oppertunity to use that word – what ever became of Kurt Thomas, anyway?) looks a lot like capoeira.
Capoeira is cool stuff, but I’ve never met anyone who can do it really well. It takes incredible balance and upper body strength.

dvranazian, I think he is good at flipping, but the whole composite of flips is just gymnastics…all looped into one video.
