There was a guy selling these in a booth at Bumbershoot here in Seattle. There was an article, too; let me go look…
Here it is, halfway down. The guy has a website, too, but it’s currently under construction. Design selections here, from which I conclude the marketing angle is, “Buy something that looks lame but that is actually cool!” 
I know someone who not only made duct tape wallets, she made a freakin tote bag!
This would go well with my buddy’s duct-tape shirt and pants…
