It was a pretty poorly executed barrel roll.
But the video just showed him intentionally rolling, it didn’t show him falling down.
Could you be clear on what you think happened? Do you think that the cop was running and decided to intentionally drop to the ground? Or do you think that the cop was running and unintentionally fell to the ground?
If you listen to the video closely, you can hear the cop yell “Hit the lights!”
It’s a classic mad scramble technique. First-year detective school kind of stuff, actually.
