Copa America Centenario (Copa 2016) Thread

One of the most entertaining matched I have ever seen. What amazing heart shown by the Ricanios.

I was sure Colombia was going to score on that James cross right at the end just to crush me.

Winners of Group A for the US, and likely Ecuador in the next round. Nice.

Costa ricas first goal was brilliant

I had the same feeling myself

Jose Peckerhead, coach of Colombia, made 10 changes to his dominant squad. Thank you.

Doesn’t Columbia get the head-to-head tiebreaker?

The Yanquis own the goal differential over Colombia.

Ah OK.

I wonder if Brazil might intentionally tank against Peru in order to play the USA rather than Colombia.

Seems odd that they don’t play the final qualifying group matches simultaneously (like the WC and UEFA tournaments).

Never mind, Brazil can’t do that; they could easily be overtaken by Ecuador.

No…goal differential comes first.

Well, the Ecuador game is first, so their finish will be determined before Brazil plays.

The first use if instant reply in a FIFA tournament and they get it wrong

What happened?

Brazil is going to be eliminated. Wow.

Sorry for not being clearer. Peru got a handballed goal. They went to the replay official who studied it for about five minuted before not believing his eyes and allowing the goal. But what an exciting match otherwise.

Brazil are the Lakers of the footie universe. How far they have fallen… Couldn’t even get a draw, or a goal, against Peru.

Can’t edit on my phone but they didn’t qualify for the quarterfinals.

Well my tickets will be up for sale tomorrow morning. Went into the weekend expecting to look forward to USA- Brazil. Now Colombia-Peru? No thanks.

You have a chance to see Colombias James, one of the best and mist exciting players. That match looks to be more fun to watch than Bra v USA.
